Same-Day / Walk-In Acute Care
Same-Day / Walk-In Acute Care with Dr Harrop
Life doesn’t always give us much notice when something goes wrong — which is why same-day acute care appointments with Dr Harrop are available most days. If you’re unwell and feel you need to be seen promptly, please contact the clinic and we will do our best to offer you a same-day appointment or the next available slot.
Our acute care service is designed to support patients with a wide range of short-term or urgent health concerns, including:
Sudden or worsening minor illnesses
Infections such as respiratory, skin, urinary or gastrointestinal
Acute pain, musculoskeletal injuries or flare-ups
New or distressing mental health concerns, including anxiety or low mood
Any sudden change in health that feels worrying or unusual
Most acute medical problems can be assessed and treated directly in clinic — with on-site diagnostics and prescriptions when clinically appropriate. If your needs would be better met by another service (for example, emergency care, urgent mental health services, specialist clinics, or community supports), we will guide you clearly and directly to the most suitable place of care.
If you are feeling unwell and need to be seen soon, please contact the clinic to schedule an appointment — and let our team know that you are requesting a same-day acute visit.
You don’t need to wait until things get worse — we’re here to help.
