About me
Hello, and thank you for visiting. My name is Dr Adrian A. Harrop (he/him), and I am a Family Physician who has recently relocated to Calgary from Liverpool in the United Kingdom.
I graduated from the University of Manchester in 2012, and completed my residency in General Practice in 2019, earning Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP).
Throughout my career, I have been driven by an enduring passion for equality, human rights, and healthcare that uplifts and protects marginalised communities. I have extensive experience providing care to members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, with a particular advocacy focus on Gender-Affirming Healthcare and the rights and well-being of transgender individuals, delivered through a collaborative, supportive and affirming approach.
Outside of medicine, I share my life with my wonderful husband, Dan, and together we are the very proud parents of our beautiful cat, Agnes. We are happiest in the mountains — skiing, exploring and embracing the breathtaking natural beauty that Alberta offers.
I am truly thrilled to now be calling Calgary and Canada home, and I look forward to building positive, long-lasting relationships with the community here.
